PLN 3.6 million - has flowed into the JiM Foundation's account! The money comes from one percent tax and goes to JiM subaccounts, which the Foundation runs free of charge for 1,500 children. The funds raised are direct help for the children - they are used to refinance their treatment, therapy and rehabilitation.
- These more than 3 million, are thanks to parents who steadfastly encouraged family, closer friends and distant acquaintances to support their child with 1% tax. They were not afraid to say "1%. I'll ask." - says Tomasz Michalowicz, president of the JiM Foundation. - For someone who has never been in this situation, it's hard to understand. But to ask others for help is one of life's greatest barriers to overcome.
The record amount in the several-year history of JiM subaccounts is more than 70 thousand zlotys - that's how much money was collected on the individual subaccount of a child who benefits from the foundation's assistance. The foundation will receive detailed data on the funds raised from the tax office around mid-October, at which time the parents will find out exactly how much money went to the subaccount in question.
The JiM Foundation helps parents from the organizational, formal side - advises, supports the implementation of ideas. It gives posters, business cards, letters of recommendation, allows free text messaging. All this so that parents can campaign for their children, in their own communities. The money raised in this way allows parents, to provide their child with "customized" therapy, tailored to their needs.
The JiM Foundation has been collecting 1% tax for more than 10 years, since each of us can donate this part of our due tax to a public benefit organization of our choice. This year, the Foundation was supported by more than 55,000 people.
