JiM Foundation's position on vaccination

Pandemic is a time of special responsibility. A time when it is necessary to say out loud: vaccinations do not cause autism.

Tens of thousands of people have died in Poland as a result of the COVID-19 virus pandemic, some of whom could have been saved if they had wanted and been vaccinated in time.

We will not repeat the arguments, because they have been made many times before. Dr. Wakefield's lie linking vaccinations to autism has been repeatedly exposed by scientists. And Dr. Wakefield himself has been banned from the profession.

A 2014 repeat study of a sample of 1.2 million people found no link between autism and vaccinations.
Research shows that the origins of autism are neurodevelopmental and go back to the child's prenatal state.
Reliable research on autism and vaccination can be consulted on the website of the National Institute of Public Health - National Institute of Hygiene bit.ly/vaccination_a_autism.

Also, the latest American DSM V classification of disorders and the forthcoming ICD 11 international classification of diseases and disorders place autism in the group of neurodevelopmental disorders.

The first symptoms of autism become apparent to those around them - the child's parents or caregivers - around age 1. This is the time when the mandatory MMR vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella is administered.
That's why some parents to this day link autism to vaccinations.
Scientific studies do not confirm this link. The incidence of autism in vaccinated and unvaccinated children is not statistically different.

Every parent who links autism with vaccinations. And in whom scientific information on this subject causes strong emotions. We would like to comfort each of these parents. Autism is not anyone's fault. It is not the fault of vaccination. It is not the fault of the environment. It is not their fault.

We also want to assure each of these parents. Although we disagree, we respect and understand you. We remember that we are part of the same community. A community where many people are going through this stage, on their way to acceptance.

At the same time, we reiterate our appeal to the Prime Minister to allow people on the autism spectrum and their caregivers to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in the near future. Those individuals will want to ensure their safety and that of others in this way.

Vaccination does not cause autism. This statement is scientifically true.

Let's keep this in mind when deciding on COVID-19 vaccination.
