Due to the entry into force on 1/10/2017 of the Law of May 13, 2016 on Counteracting the Threat of Sexual Offenses, the JiM Foundation is obliged, before establishing cooperation with a Volunteer and before forwarding the Volunteer's contact to those who seek the Volunteer's support, to verify the candidate(s) and obtain information on whether his/her data is included in the Sexual Offender Registry with so-called restricted access. Verification of candidates before allowing them to provide volunteer services to children is a statutory obligation and there are no exceptions to it.
